Market Place Kindles the Spirit of Christmas

With the Christmas Marketplace that was held on the 10th & 17th December 2023 it started to feel like Christmas. The Christmas Marketplace started as early as 8am and continued untill 1pm at our Nativity Hall. Father Dom declared the marketplace open with an opening prayer.

The response was overwhelming with 50 stalls setup by our own parishioners and also from our neighboring parishes. The aim of this marketplace was not only to help stall owners to sell their goods and services but also for the people to mingle and jingle around. Besides that, the marketplace has helped cultivate an entrepreneurship spirit among the younger generation. It was a positive move as we witnessed children under 12 years old setting up stalls with their supportive parents.

There were vendors selling various items such as cakes, cookies, Christmas decorations, clothes, books as well as arts & craft. Not forgetting those providing services such as car sales, a good massage to relax, face painting and many more. Besides that, there were performances by our own Buskers busking and carols sung by a few groups that entertained the crowds and kindled the spirit of Christmas.

The children below 12 years old, received gifts which were donated by a Good Samaritan. The recipients are all grateful to the kind donor.  May God bless the donor. There were also exciting prizes for 30 lucky purchasers who made purchases above RM30.

It had been a great joy for everyone from the sellers to the buyers as they came under one roof to spark up the Christmas Spirit in each other and that’s what we call a great JOY! (by Anncelia)
