Senior Citizens
Formed in 2018, the Senior Citizens group of NBVM/SCIC is a vibrant and active ministry that promotes healthy living and fellowship. This ministry meets regularly for a monthly Tea Talk, which serves as a platform for social connection, Bible sharing, shared experiences, and informative discussions.
Every Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am, members gather for a Free and Easy exercise session, followed by light fellowship—encouraging both physical wellness and social bonding.
The group also organizes yearly programs to celebrate significant occasions such as Chinese New Year, Easter, and Christmas, bringing joy and spiritual enrichment to the parishioners.
Other highlights include engaging indoor games, talks on physiotherapy, and sessions on topics like the importance of recycling. The group extends its care beyond its members, shown in outreach activities such as their recent visit to Naomi Homeless Shelter Home, reflecting their commitment to elder care and compassion. They also supported the House of St Joseph’s renovation by organizing a Jumble sale fundraising event.
Together, the senior citizens of NBVM/SCIC continue to inspire with their energy, service, and sense of community and belonging.
