Seder Meal

The Seder Meal – a Jewish Passover Tradition was held on April 16 at NBVM to give the parishioners an experience of the Jewish tradition and celebrate their deliverance from slavery. About 150 parishioners attended the meal.

It was initiated by the Liturgical team and extended to all generous hands who gave their overwhelming support

It is a time to express our gratitude for what we do have and to recognize that everything we have at that moment is just enough (Dayenu)

The Jews celebrate their liberation from slavery in Egypt.

For us today, we celebrate Jesus, our Passover Lamb, who redeemed us from the bondage of sin.

Comments from those who participated in the meal:

1. Thanks for a meaningful Seder meal. I am very happy now to know exactly what Jesus did  at the Last Supper. It was really meaningful and all who attended are really blessed. My son really followed the whole order .

2. It was very symbolic.  Each food item on the Seder plate tells the story of the saving works of Yahweh. It gave me a better insight of the Last Supper.

3. It helped the youths to see the Word of God in action. (Exodus come alive)

4. It fosters growth in our community and brings families together during the holy week.
