Evangelisation through the Lens
On 22 February, Saturday, 15 participants (12 from the Butterworth Parish and 3 from Kulim and BM parish) attended the Photography Workshop organised by the Media Team. The theme Evangelisation through the Lens was an invitation to all budding and current photographers to come serve the parish and capture the timeless moments.
The facilitator, Raymond Loo an experienced and dedicated photographer for the parish said that a “picture paints a thousand words” and so photography can be a form of worship, giving thanks and uplift the parish image and parishioners. He guided the participants through the basics of photography and some hands-on techniques.
The participants had an immense learning experience about composition, aperture, shutter speed and ISO. Raymond advised the participants to know their camera well. He also added that one has to make a 3 second decision whether to take the picture. He reminded the participants to tell the story and capture the mood.
