A Meaningful Seder Meal for Our Senior Citizens
On the evening of 4 March 2026, a group of seniors from our parish gathered for a special Seder Meal organised by the Senior Citizens Ministry. For many, it was their first time experiencing this ancient tradition that lies at the heart of the Passover story.
Led by Patrick Lim, the session gently unfolded the meaning behind the Seder meal. As the symbols, prayers, and rituals were explained, the participants began to see how this Jewish celebration helps us better understand the roots of our Christian faith. What once seemed like distant history slowly came alive through the shared experience around the table.
Bro Melvin joined the gathering on behalf of the parish priest, offering his support and encouragement. Throughout the evening, the seniors listened with curiosity and joy, asking questions and reflecting on what they were learning together.
The gathering ended with dinner and warm fellowship. Many left with a deeper appreciation of the faith they share and the rich tradition that connects us to the story of God’s people. It was more than just a meal. It was a moment of learning, reflection, and community. (Senior Citizens Ministry)
