Marian Ministry Awareness
As part of the parish’s Ministry Awareness program, the Marian Ministry hosted its session at the House of St Joseph on 26 October. The team welcomed parishioners with a gentle reminder of Jesus’ words from the cross: “Behold your Mother.” It set the tone for a day focused on rediscovering Mary’s place in our faith and in our parish life.
The ministry introduced its mission to help parishioners grow in devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary through the Rosary, Novena devotions, Marian feast-day celebrations, and learning from Scripture and the writings that highlight Mary’s journey with Christ. Many were surprised by how rich and meaningful these practices can be when taken up together as a community.
One of the most heartening moments came from the children. They stopped by with wide eyes and honest questions, eager to learn who Mary is and why she matters. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and several signed up without hesitation.
Since our parish is dedicated to Mary, the session served as a gentle nudge to imitate her trust, humility, and steady love in our daily lives. Moving forward, the Marian Ministry hopes to keep this spirit alive and continue building a deeper Marian devotion across the parish in the months ahead. (Marian Ministry)
