SEEDS of Grace
On August 10th, the NBVM Taste Mission Ministry, in collaboration with Kasih House of Mission, hosted an impactful half-day program titled Seeds of Grace at the Pastoral Center Auditorium, NBVM. The event, open to participants aged 14 and above, gathered families, youth, and missionaries from around the world including Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Poland, Slovakia, Taiwan, and the Czech Republic to experience God’s love and plan for their lives.

The event was anchored on the scripture from Ephesians 3:17–18:
“And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in Him.”
The program began at 10:45 a.m. with a warm introduction and opening, followed by praise and worship led by the NBVM Praise and Worship Team. Their heartfelt songs set a reverent and joyful atmosphere, drawing participants into God’s presence and preparing their hearts for the sessions ahead.

At 11:25 a.m , the first session began, featuring life-changing testimonies from missionaries. Each missionary shared how they first discovered Jesus personally and how they heard God’s call to serve as missionaries. Their stories revealed journeys of transformation, surrender, and courageleaving participants inspired to seek a deeper relationship with Christ.
After a short break at 12:05 p.m., the gathering resumed with the second session.
In the second session, missionaries continued sharing testimonies of their mission work across the world. They spoke about how God’s call led them to leave behind their comfort zones and dedicate their lives to helping others grow in faith and walk closer with God. These heartfelt sharings touched many, reminding attendees that God’s mission extends beyond personal faith, it calls us to serve others with love, compassion, and courage.

This session also included a reflective activity using a diagram of a house, which represented the human heart. The “rooms” of the house were labeled with different aspects of life such as finances, schoolwork, emotions, family, future, view of yourself, and relationship with Jesus. Participants were asked to reflect and write in the notes app of their phones how each of these areas was important to them and how much “space” they gave to each aspect in their lives. Afterwards, they were challenged to evaluate their notes:
- Which aspects did they write more about?
- Were their reflections more positive or negative?
This exercise encouraged honest self-examination, helping participants see whether their hearts were being filled more with worry and self-focus, or with hope, gratitude, and trust in Jesus.

The program drew to a close at 1:00 p.m with a special time of prayer conducted by the missionaries. In a deeply moving moment, they prayed over everyone in the room, laying hands gently on participants’ heads and blessing them in Jesus’s name followed by photography session before leaving. Many experienced a sense of peace, renewal, and encouragement, marking a powerful conclusion to the day.
Following the closing prayer, participants gathered for lunch at the cafeteria at 1:15 p.m., enjoying fellowship and conversation in a spirit of unity.
