On 12 February, about 80 parishioners attended the Parish Assembly 2023 which concluded with a fellowship dinner.

Memories of 2022

Parish Priest’s Address

Fr. Dom began with the scripture reading – 1 Cor 3: 4-7 “So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.”

Fr. Dom then introduced the PAT (Parish Animating Team) consisting of Jessica, Winson, Stephen Chin, Gerald and Victoria. He said thanks to them and appreciated their effort in serving the parish.

In his address, Fr. Dom emphasised on 6 key areas: Spirituality, Social response, Community Building, Formation, Mission and Beautification and Improvement. He explained that this year being the Year of Prayer, there are many prayer avenues: places and sessions where parishioners could join to grow in their relationship with God. On Social Response, the parish has been reaching out to those in need through Project Kasih, job opportunities and Market Place. To integrate the different races of the community a family day will day will be organised by the parish. He said that he is happy to see the parishioners taking the lead and responsibility in the many activities with little involvement from him. Retreats are being organised as part of Formation. In the area of Mission, parishioners can look forward to enriching themselves through the preaching of many visiting priests this year. He also explained about the next three phases of improvement on the parish. He will also be on sabbatical leave for some time middle of the year.He then concluded by thanking everyone for journeying with him throughout the year.

Group Discussion

The groups were asked discuss on prayer activity and formation that can be carried out in family, BEC, ministry and society. Each group then were presented their ideas.

Parish Events for 2023

Parish Events for 2023 was presented by Stephen Chin.

Presentation by Finance Committee

Brian Baptist presented the financial report and budget for 2023 on behalf of the Finance Committee. The finance committee hopes that the parishioners will continue to contribute generously for this year too. The allocation for all ministries are to be used for formation purpose and not recreation.

The meeting ended with Q&A session and fellowship dinner.
