A Joyful Sunday of Ministry Awareness and Movement
The Parish Animating Team has been organising a Ministry Awareness Program over several Sundays to help parishioners learn more about the different ministries that serve our community. Each week, different groups take turns to showcase what they do and invite others to join in.
On 12 October 2025, it was the Senior Citizens Ministry’s turn and they brought energy, laughter and joy to the parish grounds. Their booth featured a “Free and Easy” exercise session led by Mr Fintan Ooi, a retired teacher with a gift for engaging people.
What started as a small activity soon drew a lively crowd. Parishioners of all ages joined in, moving, stretching and laughing together. The seniors led the way with confidence and grace, proving that staying active can also be fun and faith-filled.
When the session ended, no one rushed off. Everyone stayed to enjoy a light fellowship, sharing snacks and conversations that warmed the heart. It was a simple but powerful reminder that parish life is not just about what happens in the church building, but also about the friendships and care we build with one another.
The Senior Citizens Ministry hopes to keep this spirit going with more activities soon, including cycling, walking and picnic get-together. Their message is clear: faith, joy and community grow stronger when we journey together. (Senior Citizens Ministry)
