Throwback Family Day 2025

Family Day 2025 was held on Sunday, 8 June at Nativity Hall, NBVM Church and it turned out to be a lively, enjoyable event for all ages. From the moment mass ended, families gathered with excitement, ready to spend quality time together and enjoy everything the day had to offer.

Joshua Robert, who was the MC for the event started with a brief introduction of Family Day and a breakdown of activities held for the day shared by Steven Chin (PAT). Many of the activities that was held were treasure hunt, performances, other fun hall activities, lucky draws and more. The Treasure Hunt Walk that was organized by Steven Chin was the highlight for many. After a quick briefing at 9:30 AM, teams set off on a 1.5km hunt around the area solving clues, buying small “treasures,” and completing challenges. Teams had until noon to submit their answers and take on two final tasks before prizes were awarded to the top 10 groups.

While some were out hunting, others enjoyed lively performances inside the hall. Joshua Robert who entertained us with some upbeat malaysian traditional songs, a zumba dance led by the tamil youth group that got everyone up on their feet to join the dance and other invited groups that came to perform as well. Music, games, and laughter filled the space, making it a great day for all ages.

With breakfast and lunch provided, and something fun for everyone, Family Day 2025 was the perfect way to spend a Sunday with your family. This day not only signifies the togetherness of family but also to celebrate all those from different language groups and backgrounds to come together as one famiy in unity and diversity. Rev. Fr. Dominic ended the day with a prayer and a short speech to thank all those who were involved in preparation for the event and all parishners that participated making the day lively and memorable.
