Pray Without Ceasing
On 1st October, the Opening of the Rosary Month cum Extraordinary Month of Mission and the Feast of St Therese of Child Jesus, Fr. Dom in his homily, drew the attention of the congregation on Jesus’ resolute spirit to complete his mission to enter Jerusalem knowing he was going to be crucified. He said Jesus was focused on his mission and was strengthened through prayer.
In the same way, we see the power prayer behind the scenes in the battle against the Ottoman Turks. Pope Pius V dedicated the victory against the invasion of Europe by the Ottoman empire in 1571 to Our Lady of the rosary.
Fr. Dom, urged the faithful to pray without ceasing. He encouraged them to recite the rosary. He said in life we face many battles, our victory not only comes from our perseverance but also through the power of prayer;Thes 5: 16-18 “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”.
