Lenten journey Week 3: JESUS Meets the Samaritan woman

For this week’s reflection, Fr. Dom urged the parishioners to grow in faith like the Samaritan woman and not be like the Israelites- always complaining. Even though after witnessing their freedom from the Egyptians, the Israelites constantly complained and lacked faith. Their faith was inconsistent.   He said our faith cannot be dormant but has to grow step by step like the Samaritan woman. It has to be a living faith and not a dying one. A solid faith and not like the weeds, inconsistent but a progressive faith. It has to be a faith in action with personal works of mercy as mentioned in the Epistle of James2:26“For just as a body without a spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.”
