Bidding Goodbye to NBVM’s Sikh Neighbour
On the 5th of January 2019, on this Extraordinary Missionary Year, the parishioners of NBVM bade farewell to their ‘half a century’ neighbor. NBVM and the Sikh temple had coexisted side by side in harmony and peace. Both being the place of worship for faith for different religious groups, us the Catholics and theirs the Sikhism, both have forged a good relationship over the years. They will be moving to their new premise in Seberang Jaya.
As the parishioners bade farewell, they were blessed with their kind hospitality with sumptuous traditional breakfast of chapatti, tea and sweets. It was their gesture of conveying their heartfelt thanks for being their good old neighbor. (by Jacqueline Lourdes)
