Month of the Holy Rosary

In conjunction with the Month of the Holy Rosary, rosary recitation and mass was held at NBVM at 7.30 pm on 1st October.

Homily

Fr. Dom in his homily asked the congregation to plead to God as the Psalmist did “Turn your ear to me O Lord, hear my prayer” (Psalm 17:1, 2-3, 6-7). He explained that we are nobody and therefore we need God’s grace and mercy to see us through our challenges. He added that in Job (1: 6-22) we see that “the Lord gave, the Lord has taken back” and this shows how much we need to seek God in prayer. He urged the parishioners to say the Holy Rosary and pray for the church against the forces of evil that is plaguing the clergy, to pray for those who have been abused and for those who are leaving the church. He said pray anywhere and every day. He particularly emphasized on the two prayers that the Pope has urged us to include after the rosary- Sub Tuum Praesidium and prayer of St. Michael the Archangel.
