Mission Month: Let Your Light Shine

The 2024 Confirmation Class made a commitment to sing and preach for the Mission month. This was their first act of mission in spreading the good news. Short praises and distribution of bookmarks with word of God was beautifully acted out on 3 November with the theme “Let Your Light Shine” (Mat 5:16). They were guided by the Parish Priest Fr. Dom and Youth Leaders Joshua and Ryan.

In the morning, we assisted Joshua in setting up his microphones and speaker devices while enjoying a friendly chat with him. As the crowd began to gather, we enthusiastically advertised our event at the shrine, which embraced the theme “Let Your Light Shine,” drawing in more and more people. The event featured a short praise and worship session, where we sang uplifting songs and recited the Gospel, inspiring everyone to reflect on how they could shine their light in the world.

During the worship, our team distributed bookmarks as thoughtful gifts to those who attended. The event was a tremendous success, spreading joy and faith while encouraging everyone to let their light shine brightly. By Shawn Ooi
