Celebrating Christmas with the NBVM/SCIC Altar Servers

A Christmas Gathering was organised for the three-language group Altar Servers of NBVM/SCIC on Sunday, 15th December, 2024. The event was held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The altar servers gathered at The Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima and were guided on a virtual pilgrimage to Bethlehem, with biblical reference from the Gospel of St. Luke, and posters that were displayed on the NBVM church grounds. These posters depicted The Anunciation, The Visitation, Joseph’s Dream, The Journey To Bethlehem, and The Search For A Place.

The last stop was at The Crib, where Christmas Carols were sung. Then, the altar servers proceeded to the Conference Room. Here, they were seated at dining tables and enjoyed feasting on KFC and some bihun and drinking water.

The highlights of the afternoon were the exchange of gifts and the presentation ceremony for “Certificate of Appreciation” to the altar servers. These certificates were awarded to the altar servers by Seminarian Boniface Chang.

It was very clear that the altar servers enjoyed themselves tremendously. The day ended with everybody wishing each other “Merry Christmas” as they returned to their respective homes.
